A ROOM WITH A VIEW

  • Screen2 West Mall Bristol, England, BS8 4BH United Kingdom (map)
This is incredibly fresh and arresting film-making: moving and amusing, swooningly romantic and socially ferocious [...] The final scene would leave only a stone unmoved
— Catherine Shoard (The Guardian)

DOORS: 16:30 | FILM STARTS 16:40

Now in its third year, our open-air, undercover garden cinema event returns — bigger and better than ever!

Taking place in the beautiful Mall Gardens in the heart of Clifton Village, this is outdoor cinema with a twist. Relax in the Central Arena before the film, with drinks, art displays, tastings and local food vendors, then make your way into one our two cinema spaces for the main event. With covered seating, a state-of-the-art LED screen and wireless headphones, enjoy your film come rain or shine - it's a Summer experience that’s not to be missed.

Vintage Screenings pair classic films with thematically linked wine tastings - usually held in Averys Wine Merchants’ historic wine cellar, this July the Vintage Screenings are going on tour, to Screen 2 in The Mall Gardens. Following a sparkling wine on arrival, the film will be accompanied by a tasting of four carefully selected wines courtesy of Averys’ resident experts, guiding you through them at stages during the film.

We’re delighted to present the acclaimed Merchant-Ivory adaptation of A Room With A View, paired with wines from Tuscany and central Italy in keeping with the timeless Florentine setting of much of the film’s action. This firm festival favourite is turning 40 this year, and what better way to celebrate it than enjoying it in the setting of the Mall Gardens with a taste of Tuscany?
