DOORS: 18:45 | EVENT BEGINS: 19:15
Join us at the Royal West of England Academy (RWA) for a series of screenings celebrating the finest films to win Academy Awards. These unforgettable evenings include live music and a welcome drink before the film, as well as an opportunity to explore the galleries and view the RWA’s Photo Open Exhibition. After an introduction from Festival Director Owen Franklin, you can sit back and enjoy some of the highlights of the silver screen amidst the stunning setting of the RWA’s main gallery space.
This March we’re celebrating one of the greatest stage-to-screen musical adaptations, Chicago. This multiple Oscar-winning hit saw all three of its female leads – Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Queen Latifah – nominated, with Zeta-Jones taking home Best Supporting Actress. Slick your hair and wear your buckle shoes (and all that jazz), and step into the Improv Theatre’s subterranean speakeasy for a night to remember…!
