“The editing, of enjoyably intimate footage from backstage, on stage, under stagedives and back in the tour bus, keeps the tempo as high as their hits”
DOORS: 18:15 | EVENT BEGINS: 18:45
As part of our ‘Music & The Movies’ season comes a very special screening of Don’t Go Gentle: A Film About Idles, the 2021 documentary about Bristol’s beloved band. The film enjoyed success on the festival circuit on its release, and we’re very excited to bring it back to the big screen for a hometown screening, a few months before the band themselves take over Queen Square for the weekend!
We’ll be joined by director Mark Archer, who’ll be conducting a post-screening Q&A session to answer all your questions about the making of the film and life on the road with Idles, as well as the film’s award-winning editor Tom Weller to share how he shaped the team’s vision for the film into what you’ll see on the night. It promises to be a celebration of one of rock’s most electrifying live acts and local independent filmmaking!
