DUNE (2021) at The Planetarium

  • The Planetarium We The Curious, Millennium Square, Bristol, BS1 5SZ United Kingdom (map)
Science fiction at its most majestic, unsettling and enveloping [...] An awe-inspiring piece of work
— Robbie Collins (Daily Telegraph)

DOORS: 21:00 | FILM STARTS 21:20

We’re over the moon (pun intended) to be returning to the Planetarium at We The Curious in 2024 after two years away. A fire closed this beloved venue’s doors, but now that’s it back, we’ve got a stellar series of space and sci-fi screenings lined up!

Explore the Planetarium’s Space exhibition before the screening and see if you’re cut out for a life in space, then recline in this unique screening space. As the lights dim, your journey will begin with a tour of the Solar System in a Planetarium star show - the perfect way to set the scene for your film…

Our first night back at the Planetarium continues with a screening of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, the first of two acclaimed films bringing a worthy adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal novel to the big screen. Delivering blockbuster panache while faithfully and respectfully handling the complex source material, this is a stunning spectacle that deserves to be seen on the big screen!

PLEASE NOTE: tickets for our Planetarium screenings are on advance sale as they are a Festival event. Tickets for We The Curious itself will be on sale at a later date.

When his nobleman father is ordered by the Emperor to take up stewardship of Arrakis, Paul Atreides is plagued by dark visions of the desert planet.
