KRAMPUS at Redcliffe Caves

  • Redcliffe Caves Redcliffe Caves England, BS1 6SR United Kingdom (map)
A well-above-average ho-ho-ho-horror film with a shivery sense of winter weirdland and anarchic ultra-violence, it’s also a strong candidate to become a holiday favourite
— Kim Newman (Empire)

DOORS: 21:15 | FILM STARTS 21:30

New for 2023, we’re thrilled to be launching Christmas In The Caves! We know that Redcliffe Caves are an incredibly popular setting, so we’re returning to bring you an alternative take on festive film programming, and will be turning the Caves into an icy winter wonderland to suit the occasion! Enter through our military tent on Redcliffe Wharf, grab a drink from our pop-up bar, and step foot inside one of Bristol’s most unusual and exclusive locations, our ‘Underground Cinema’.

Whether it’s Christmas classics, cult favourites, or simply feel-good films that make for repeat seasonal viewing, our lineup has something for everyone - we’ve even found space for some of the most popular films from our regular Underground Cinema roster in case you missed them earlier in the year.

In case you’re still yearning for Horror In The Caves, or just want a strong antidote to the usual Christmas offerings, we present the creepily good comedy-horror Krampus, which breathes life into the more sinister side of the traditional Santa Claus mythology. It’s a frighteningly good time, but definitely not one for the whole family!

Please note: Redcliffe Caves is a unique event space - we strongly recommend all guests read the ‘Venue & Event Information’ tab at this bottom of this page prior to booking.

About The Location

Redcliffe Caves are one of the most fascinating locations in Bristol. Originally created to mine sandstone glass in the 17th Century, these caves (technically a quarry!) have a rich and varied history, having been used by hermits, prisoners of war, and even as an air raid shelter. Now, they are accessed through a gate on the Harbourside, and are usually closed to the public.
