DOORS: 21:00 | FILM STARTS 21:15

It’s back… Venture deep into Redcliffe Caves – if you’re brave enough – for the latest instalment of our infamous Horror In The Caves series. Enter through our military tent on Redcliffe Wharf, grab a drink from our pop-up bar to steel your nerves, and step foot inside one of Bristol’s most unusual and exclusive locations for another season of classic and contemporary horror movies.

Our Halloween 2021 season starts with the modern folk horror masterpiece Midsommar, Ari Aster’s infamous follow-up to Hereditary

About The Film

2019 | 18 | 141 mins

After a devastating family tragedy, student Dani travels with her friends to a remote area of Sweden, in order to witness their friend’s ancestral commune celebrate a midsummer festival that only occurs every 90 years. However, the seemingly idyllic village soon reveals itself to be far more sinister than Dani could ever have imagined.

About The Location

Redcliffe Caves are one of the most fascinating locations in Bristol. Originally created to mine sandstone glass in the Middle Ages, these caves (technically a quarry!) have a rich and varied history, having been used by hermits, prisoners of war, and even as an air raid shelter. Now, they are accessed through a small door on the Harbourside, and are usually closed to the public.

Pre-Screening Cave Tours

For the first time this year, we are offering a limited number of spaces on 10-15 minute pre-screening tours of Redcliffe Caves; collect a torch then venture far deeper than our ’Screening Cave’ and learn more about the history of this fascinating Bristol landmark.

PLEASE NOTE: due to the nature of the space, all guests on a pre-screening tour must be able to exit the Caves unaided in the event of an emergency. Further details will be emailed to you shortly after booking.

Cocktails @ Unstabled

We are working with the fantastic ‘Unstabled’ bar to bring you a range of hot and cold drinks at Redcliffe Caves this year. With cocktails, wine, soft drinks and hot drinks available, they’re the perfect accompaniment to your screening.

Beat the rush before your screening and pre-order one of their delicious cocktails below. Choose from: Blood Orange Collins, Dark & Stormy, Espresso Martini, Strawberry Daiquiri and Orange & Passionfruit Martini.

*A Challenge 25 Policy is in place at this venue. If you are unable to provide valid ID, you may be refused service.
