Our rescheduled Wes Anderson mini-fest is now taking place on Sunday 1st May, also marking our inaugural event with the brilliant Bristol Improv Theatre!
There are few directors more famous for their stylistic touch than Wes Anderson, so we are dedicating an entire day to a selection of his filmography. The day continues with Anderson’s third film, and first major commercial hit, the ensemble comedy-drama The Royal Tenenbaums.

Royal Tenenbaum tells his three exceptionally gifted teenage children that he and their mother are separating, and he is leaving them behind. About The Location
The Bristol Improv Theatre is the UK’s first full-time dedicated improv theatre, hosting troupes from all over the UK and overseas, bringing world-class improv to Bristol. Through crowdfunding and the efforts of over 40 volunteers, the founders transformed this former-Victorian-schoolhouse-turned-working-mens-club-cum-live-music-venue into a purpose-built theatre space, with licensed bar, rehearsal rooms and office.
Bristol Improv Theatre is our new home for screenings of classic musical films, as well as our “mini-fests” paying homage to great directors and actors.
