  • Redcliffe Caves, Phoenix Wharf, Bristol, BS1 6SR United Kingdom (map)
“[The film] is not just an artistic triumph in its own right, it’s the key to the entire ‘Twin Peaks’ universe […] A quarter of a century on, the film is being rightly rediscovered by fans and critics as Lynch’s unsung masterwork
— Martyn Conterio (The Guardian)

About The Film

1992 | 15 | 135 mins

This deeply dark prequel to the cult TV series explores the final days of Laura Palmer, as well as another murder that has worrying parallels with how Laura met her own fate…

About The Location

Redcliffe Caves are one of the most fascinating locations in Bristol. Originally created to mine sandstone glass in the 17th Century, these caves (technically a quarry!) have a rich and varied history, having been used by hermits, prisoners of war, and even as an air raid shelter. Now, they are accessed through a gate on the Harbourside, and are usually closed to the public.

Pre-Screening Cave Tours

We are delighted to be offering a limited number of spaces on 20-25 minute pre-screening tours of Redcliffe Caves; collect a torch then explore far deeper than our ’Screening Cave’ and learn more about the history of this fascinating Bristol landmark. PLEASE NOTE: due to the nature of the space, all guests on a pre-screening tour must be able to exit the Caves unaided in the event of an emergency. Further details will be emailed to you shortly after booking.

Drinks @ Unstabled

We are working with the fantastic ‘Unstabled’ bar to bring you a range of hot and cold drinks at Redcliffe Caves this year. With cocktails, wine, soft drinks and hot drinks available - as well as draught beer from our friends at Lost And Grounded - they’re the perfect accompaniment to your screening.

Beat the rush before your screening and pre-order one of their delicious cocktails below.
