A Frightfully Fun Halloween Weekend

This weekend saw nearly 1000 horror fans visit us for an unforgettable Halloween weekend.

Redcliffe Caves saw screenings of everything from GHOSTBUSTERS to THE GRUDGE, a Stephen King double bill, vintage 40s horror and more. A sold-out screening of the ultimate caving horror THE DESCENT rounded off the weekend in this incredible venue.

Over at Averys Wine Merchants, audiences enjoyed a vampire double bill on Thursday and Friday evening, with screenings of WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS and INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE. On Saturday, not even a city-wide power outage could spoil the fun, with audiences enjoying a 50th anniversary screening of Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder’s YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, complete with a tasting of Eastern European wines in Averys’ historic cellars.

There are still a handful of tickets left for the rest of our Halloween season, but the fun doesn’t stop there! See what we’ve got coming up to the end of the year here.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Festival so far this October - and Happy Halloween!
