Local Legends at Clifton Summer Screenings

Clifton Summer Screenings aim to redefine outdoor cinema, screening classic films in Clifton Village this July. Several of our films have links to Bristol and the South West - a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the influence the city has on the film industry on a global stage. Can you guess which films in our programme:

Features a voice actor originally from Southmead?

Was written by notable local playwright, Catherine Johnson?

Filmed in nearby Wells, the smallest free-standing city in England?

Was the first feature-length film from a major Bristol animation studio?

Was directed by Clifton College alumnus John Madden?

Screened on a state-of-the-art LED screen, this is outdoor cinema with a difference. Taking place from 28th-30th July in the Mall Gardens Clifton, enjoy some of your favourite feel-good movies in these beautiful gardens in the heart of Clifton Village, without the risk of being caught out by the great British summertime!

Be sure to check out the rest of the programme - from eighties classics such as Back To The Future and Dirty Dancing, to British favourites such as A Room With A View, there is plenty on offer for any film fan to enjoy!
