Venue Spotlight: Aerospace Bristol

Next in our venue spotlight series is Aerospace Bristol, a museum documenting over a century of remarkable aerospace history.

Bristol has been at the forefront of aeronautical and space technology for over a century, with the museum entertaining its visitors with stories of human endeavour and achievement.

Concorde Foxtrot Alpha was the last of its kind to be built and the last to fly. The city can comfortably claim to be the true home of Concorde, with the airframe and the engines were largely developed here, the UK assembly line was located here, and all UK Concordes making their maiden flight from Filton's runway. Now, this symbol of UK innovation can be viewed in a custom-built hangar at the museum.

Every visit to Aerospace Bristol, and every donation, helps the Bristol Aero Collection Trust to advance learning and skills in science and technology and inspire the next generation of engineers.

This February half term, discover the incredible true story of The Miracle on the Severn, which saw a daring emergency landing on the Severn Estuary seventy years ago this February.

Previous films here have included Airplane!, The Dambusters and Catch Me If You Can - this year, join us on 19th March for a screening of Top Gun, or for a 60th anniversary screening of 633 Squadron, co-inciding with the anniversary of VE Day.
