Venue Spotlight: Averys Wine Merchants

Home to our popular Vintage Screening series, Averys Wine Merchants is the next up in our Venue Spotlight series.

Averys began in 1793 and over the years, the family has built its reputation as one of the UK’s most pioneering wine merchants. Their historic wine cellar can be found beneath their shop on Culver street, and is an atmospheric and intimate setting for our Vintage Screenings. and Screening Room series.

Whether you’re browsing in their shop or attending something from their diverse programme of events, you can be sure to benefit from their extensive knowledge of wine, and to discover a hidden gem or two!

Our next events with Averys will be on the 8th and 9th March, for a special weekend celebrating the 75th anniversary of 3 different Ealing comedies. Screenings of Passport to Pimlico and Kind Hearts and Coronets will be accompanied by themed wine tastings - the perfect way to discover - or rediscover - these cornerstones of British cinema.

If you still haven’t had your fill of these classic films, be sure to book in for our Screening Room showing of A Run For Your Money - a rugby-centric caper just in time for the Six Nations!
