DOORS: 18:00 | FILM STARTS 18:15

Join us this March at a very exciting new location - The Wardrobe Theatre. This fantastic arts venue hosts over 500 performances a year, including theatre, poetry, dance, music, comedy - and now Bristol Film Festival screenings! For our inaugural events here, we’ll aptly be screening a double bill of ballet-based films.

First up is a 25th anniversary screening of the coming-of-age comedy-drama Billy Elliot. Jamie Bell’s stunning, award-winning debut performance as the eponymous boy who wants to learn how to ballet dance is still a tour de force, and a highlight of 21st Century British cinema.

About The Location

The Wardrobe Theatre is a 100-seater studio venue and arts hub showcasing the best theatre-makers, companies and artists from around Bristol and the UK. Since 2011 it has grown to become one of the leading cultural voices in the South West and one of the UK’s most respected fringe venues.

Every year the Theatre welcomes audiences of 35,000+ and stages 500+ performances. The programme is a lovingly curated mix of theatre, comedy, storytelling, poetry/spoken word, live music, puppetry, cabaret, drag, improvisation, new writing and family shows, with an emphasis on emerging artists and Bristol-based work. Regularly throughout the year the Theatre also produces/co-produces productions of their own with dynamic, Bristol-based creative teams and companies, which often go on to tour nationally.
