DOORS: 18:45 | FILM STARTS 19:00
We’re hosting a very special 90th anniversary screening of Hitchock classic The 39 Steps this Burns Night. Set primarily in Scotland, celebrate this seminal film in style at Averys Wine Merchants, with a Vintage Screening with a difference…
Vintage Screenings pair classic films with thematically linked wine tastings, with Averys’ resident experts guiding you through them at stages during the film. On this occasion, however, we will be hosting a Scotch whisky tasting experience to complement both the film and the annual celebration of Scotland’s beloved poet.
Your evening starts with a sparkling wine reception on arrival. Over the course of the film, you will sample four single malt whiskies from the key regions of Scotland with tasting notes from Averys’ resident experts.
NB: a wine option is available for those who would prefer it
Take your evening further with our add-on options:
Delve deeper into the world of wine with ‘An Introduction To Wine Tasting’; before the screening, learn more about how to taste wine over an extra glass (spaces limited)
Indulge with a delicious deli box from L'Affinage Du Fromage, with cheeses, chutney and crackers to enjoy alongside your film and wine
Sate your sweet tooth with a personal portion of Scottish fudge - choose from Original or Malt Whisky infused
Please note that Vintage Screenings are strictly for over-18s only
