While nobody can say for sure what will happen regarding Covid, Bristol Film Festival is committed to hosting our events in a safe way and have invested in equipment to achieve this goal.

An enhanced cleaning procedure in place between screenings at Bristol Museum will be in place. Fans can be used to increase ventilation in the space, although the large volume of this venue is an advantage, and one-way systems can be implemented in certain areas of the venue.

Bristol City Council guidelines will be followed, and where appropriate we will notify all guests prior to any event of any additional measures may be required.

If you test positive for Covid and cannot attend the event, let us know with evidence of the test results and you will receive a credit for future festival events.

Part avant-garde art film, part amusing but morbid fairy tale, it is a delightfully ghoulish holiday musical that displays more inventiveness in its brief 75 minutes than some studios can manage in an entire year

DOORS: 18:45 | FILM STARTS 19:15

Step inside Bristol Museum & Art Gallery for your very own “Night at the Museum” to enjoy a truly special movie screening. Enter this magnificent space after hours, enjoy live performers and then take your seat in the Rear Hall to watch the film among the exhibits.

We’re back at the Museum for Halloween Week 2022, starting the evening with a screening of the macabre musical masterpiece The Nightmare Before Christmas. Join Jack Skellington and the inhabitants of Halloween Town for this beloved stop-motion misadventure from the mind of Tim Burton.

About The Film

1993 | PG | 76 mins

In the perpetually spooky world of Halloween Town, Jack Skellington grows weary of the same annual festivities. When he stumbles by chance upon another world, Christmas Town, his desire to host his own version of Christmas borders on the obsessive; will Jack’s plans come together, or will he lose everything he cares about?

About The Location

Located at the top of Park Street, Bristol Museum and Art Gallery is a truly stunning space. Since opening in 1871, the Museum has been the home of a range of fascinating exhibits, including, the Bristol dinosaur, the Bristol Boxkite - which can be found in the Museum’s impressive entrance hall - and Banksy’s ‘paint-pot angel’.

The Museum is of Edwardian Baroque architecture and has been designated as a Grade II listed building. Throughout the year, Bristol Museums runs a series of temporary exhibits, events and activities, details of which can be found on their website.
