Films that pack a punch at Clifton Observatory

The historic Clifton Observatory plays host to our Spirit Of Cinema screenings. Join us in this intimate setting overlooking the Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge, and (weather permitting) enjoy the stunning views day and night on the terrace before the film begins.

This April we’re screening two of the great boxing films, that will pack a punch! Our first screening is Sylvester Stallone’s career-launching bildungsroman Rocky, which won three Oscars including Best Picture.Our second screening is the Oscar-winning biopic Raging Bull. Martin Scorsese’s fourth collaboration with Robert DeNiro is often cited as a career high for both men, and it’s routinely named as one of the greatest films of all time.
