FILM & WINE: PERFECT PAIRINGS

  • screen2 The Mall Gardens, Clifton Village Bristol , BS8 4BH England (map)
[Four Weddings And A Funeral] is possibly the most ‘British’ modern film commited to celluloid. Luckily, it is also funny, agreeably sweet and exceptionally well acted and directed

Join Bristol Film Festival at Clifton Summer Screenings!

Taking place in the beautiful Mall Gardens in the heart of Clifton Village, this is outdoor cinema with a twist. With covered seating, a state-of-the-art LED screen and wireless headphones, enjoy your film come rain or shine - this is an outdoor experience that’s not to be missed.

Join Festival Director Owen Franklin for a live recording of his new podcast, combining two of his favourite subjects, film and wine.

Film & Wine: Perfect Pairings offer light-hearted, humorous and informative explorations of a classic film, including the incredible behind-the-scenes stories and cast/crew connections. Owen then selects his recommended perfect wine to enjoy while watching the film, with fascinating facts from the vineyard, producer, and the wider world of wine.

The connections between the film and wine are fascinating and provide a unique view of two subjects and a new way of enjoying both.

For this live recording, Owen will be discussing Richard Curtis’ timeless romcom Four Weddings And A Funeral, as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. He’ll be pairing it with Lyme Bay Winery’s signature Sparkling Brut Reserve NV, which will be served for you to enjoy during the talk.
