Of the two great bands of the 70s and early 80s, which one was bigger and better? This short film, produced by Bristol’s very own Stanza Media, asks those in the know – pop stars themselves and rock journalists – and showcases some of the greatest tracks and videos by each group, as well as revealing who won on key comparisons, from single sales to chart runs.

This is a breathless feast of the greatest music of the era linked together by well-known contributors and a number of fun facts to amaze the viewers and get them debating among themselves.

They pick their own favourites as we answer the key comparisons – who had the biggest singles and albums, the most records sold in total, the longest run in the charts, the most weeks in the charts, the most platinum records, the biggest rebirth in the movies, plus a few more subjective questions – the most outrageous costumes, the best video, the best live performances...

Getting Here

The Mall Gardens is located in the centre of Clifton Village, just off The Mall.

• The main entrance to the venue is on Caledonia Place (opposite The Ivy Brasserie)

• Parking in Clifton Village is limited and subject to restrictions.

• Buses 8 & 9 both stop in Clifton Village, a short walk from the Observatory. The nearest train station is Clifton Down.

• Wherever possible, we encourage walking the use of public transport when travelling to our events.
